Frequently Asked Questions

How do I get an estimate?

To receive an estimate you may:

1. Go to the Contact Us / Request Form, fill out the appropriate information and send your item to us. We will inspect it and contact you with an estimate. At that time, you may accept or decline the estimate.

OR

2. If you would like an estimate before you send your item, please contact us. We are happy to give an estimate over the phone / via email. Please note, if an estimate is given without having the item, the estimate could change once your item is inspected. We would then call with the new estimate for your approval before any work is done.

Once you receive my repair, how long will it take before it ships back to me?

Each type of design or repair requires a specific amount of time to do the job well.  For example: All watches are timed for 24-48 hours after repair prior to shipping back to the customer to ensure they are maintaining time. All clocks are timed for one full cycle (1, 8 or 30 days depending on the clock).

The expected ship date will be given to you at the time of the estimate. For reference, most repairs are as follows (timeframes are general estimates, specific repairs may vary):
General Jewelry Repair: 3-4 Business Days
 Custom Jewelry: 6-8 Weeks
 Watch Batteries: 1-2 Business Days
Minor Watch Repair: 7-10 Business Days
 Clock Repair:  4-6 weeks

Are my items insured while they are with you?

Yes!  We carry specialty jewelers insurance and all items are kept in an armed facility inside a safe to ensure the security of your item while it is in our possession.  We are not responsible for items during shipping.

What is the safest method for me to send my repair to you?

Both UPS and USPS provide an insured option to ship your item(s). The benefit to USPS is that it is the cheapest way to ship insured packages.  It does not, however, allow for tracking your items other than delivery confirmation. UPS is more expensive to insure, but items can be tracked throughout the shipping process. With either method, make sure to double box items and provide appropriate padding. Assume that your item may be thrown up to 5 feet during shipping and pack it accordingly.  See our Shipping page for more information about shipping methods.

Do you guarantee the work that you do?

Yes! We guarantee all of our work.  Most work is guaranteed for 1 year after servicing; please see our Guarantee page for a full listing of what is covered under our guarantee.

What are the basic costs involved in sending my item(s) to you?

The only costs involved in sending your items to us for repair are:

1. Shipping the item(s) to us.
2. The actual repair charge, if you choose to accept the estimate.
3. Shipping the item(s) back to you (free shipping for order / repair over $75.00).
